Release time: 2024-01-08
The year 2023 that just passed was truly extraordinary. All industries have been struggling, and this has been especially true for the agricultural and pastoral breeding sector. As providers of services to the breeding industry, looking back on this past year fills us with a mix of emotions and deep reflection... Intense internal competition, excessive concentration in breeding structures, and the overlapping impact of pandemics—every corner of the breeding industry is suffering losses, something we’ve never seen before in our careers! Industrialization, the internet, bio-breeding, upgrading consumer tastes, global competition, food security—all these factors are ushering in a once-in-a-millennium transformation. The next decade will be equivalent to two centuries for the U.S. and two millennia for China!
January 6–7, 2024 The Xilai Gao 2023 Year-End Conference, themed “How to Promote Innovation and Development in the Face of Adversity” Held with great prestige in Zhuzhou, Hunan—the “City of Power”—the conference brought together selected partners of Xilai Gao and Xilai Gao’s base employees to jointly explore: How can we break the deadlock in the face of a complex and ever-changing global environment and a fiercely competitive industry landscape? And how can we foster innovation and development even in the midst of adversity?

At the start of the meeting, Zhou Le, Head of the Information Department, shared with us the topic “Driving Growth through the Information Department.” Director Zhou said: “In 2023, the company’s Information Department was committed to providing robust enabling support for the expansion of our offline business. We comprehensively developed a range of enabling measures and have already achieved initial results. In the coming year, 2024, we will continue to optimize our enabling programs and strategies, injecting even greater momentum into the company’s development.”

For business managers from all over the country, Only products that meet the needs of aquaculture users and genuinely address their challenges and pain points are their most powerful tools for “conquering new markets”! Meanwhile, continuously deepening our understanding of product mechanisms and application scenarios is key to better empowering aquaculture users! We have two outstanding business managers—Manager Cheng Qian from the Fujian region and Manager Jiang Jichao from the Anhui region—who have been quietly working diligently on the front lines of the market, constantly refining their experience and methodologies through both theory and practice. At this conference, both of them shared their unique insights into the products, providing attendees with valuable takeaways.

Product research and development has always been an area of great importance to Xilai Gao. Starting from the genuine needs of farming users, improving and upgrading existing products and developing new ones are also the cornerstone of Xilai Gao’s deep-rooted presence in the agricultural and livestock industry. So, in 2023, what achievements did Xilai Gao make in terms of R&D investment in products? And what are the strategic directions and plans for product development in 2024? Mr. Hu Chuncan, Deputy General Manager of Xilai Gao, provided his answers in his presentation titled “Xilai Gao’s Product R&D Directions and Strategic Layout.” From Mr. Hu’s sharing, we learned that in 2024, Xilai Gao will be launching three new products with great fanfare, including: “Dongbei Jian,” which improves carcass quality, increases lean meat percentage and slaughter yield; “Yi Wu You,” designed to address pica in cattle and sheep; and “Jiang Du Wei Shi,” a mycotoxin adsorbent for ruminants. The three new products mentioned above will be launching soon—stay tuned!

Over the past year, Xilai Gao has received some market feedback regarding product quality issues. The company has attached great importance to this feedback and promptly addressed it appropriately. At this conference, we’ve invited Chen Fangrong, Head of the Quality Department, to share with everyone “Measures and Progress in Addressing Product Quality Issues for 2023.” Face problems squarely, identify their root causes, and find solutions! Truly put into practice the Xilai High-Quality Declaration: Take responsibility seriously, engrave quality deeply in our hearts, foster development through integrity, and build a brilliant brand!

From General Huang’s sharing, we learned: In the current market environment, the primary task for businesses is to survive and achieve sustainable development. Internal competition will continue unabated, so animal welfare professionals must enhance their own capabilities, embrace the new era, and shift from a product-selling mindset to a project-oriented approach. By leveraging marketing strategies that combine platforms, tools, and methodologies, they can drive innovative development even in challenging times! It’s capability that determines the market, shapes demand, and defines the future!

General Huang’s sharing came to a close amid enthusiastic applause. In the eyes of our guests, we saw relief, anticipation—and even burning passion. I’m sure they’ve all gained a great deal from it. Though the sharing session is over, the excitement doesn’t stop here. At each annual meeting, there’s one indispensable segment—also highly anticipated by everyone—that’s the recognition ceremony. For this year, 2023, the company has prepared exquisite gifts, honorary certificates, and trophies for the teams and individuals who have been recognized as outstanding. We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their hard work and dedication throughout the past year.
