From March 28 to 30, the 2025 Innovation Forum, hosted by the Southern Ruminant Industry Innovation Alliance, concluded successfully in Changsha, Hunan Province. The report pointed out that parasites not only directly threaten human health but also affect various aspects of society by infecting other organisms. Due to their insidious and persistent nature, parasites are often overlooked or underestimated, especially in livestock farms. Each year, the social and economic losses caused by parasitic infections in cattle and sheep amount to hundreds of millions of yuan. Given the complex diversity and enormous population of parasites, as well as the varying infection rates and dominant parasite species across different regions and seasons, only precise, personalized pest-control strategies can effectively curb parasitic infections.
