Release time: 2020-07-22
If the pandemic has sparked many new growth opportunities in the internet-based digital economy, then the animal welfare industry is undoubtedly among the most direct and profound beneficiaries. It is precisely against this backdrop that accelerating digital transformation has become an urgent priority for many animal welfare companies.
On July 15, the 2020 Mid-Year Meeting of Hunan Xilai Gao Animal Health Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xilai Gao”) was held as scheduled in Zhuzhou, Hunan—the “City of Power.” The meeting’s theme was “Data-Driven Business Growth.”
The mid-year meeting was attended by employees from Xilai Gao headquarters, led by Mr. Huang Guogang, Chairman of Xilai Gao, and Mr. Hu Chunchan, Deputy General Manager, as well as regional managers from Xilai Gao’s branches across the country. We were also deeply honored to welcome as distinguished guests Mr. Huang Yong, Secretary-General of the Hunan Province Feed Industry Association; Mr. Gan Jie, Deputy General Manager of the Business Division at Tiankang Bio-Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Gao Yuanguang, Chairman of Yongshun County Tianhe Berry Tea Industry Development Co., Ltd.

At the start of the meeting, Mr. Gan Jie delivered a keynote speech titled “Industry Transformation and Response Measures in the Post-ASF Era,” providing a detailed analysis of industry trends and coping strategies under the backdrop of the “dual epidemics.” He also shared numerous management insights he had accumulated over many years of corporate management experience, offering us a profound intellectual awakening.

Amid a round of loud applause, Mr. Gan concluded his speech.
Next, Secretary-General Huang Yong provided us with an interpretation of China’s policies on antibiotic alternatives in aquaculture, offering strong support for Xilai Gao to standardize its production processes and effectively manage its quality system.

Having gained insight into the latest industry trends and thoroughly understood the most recent aquaculture policies, Mr. Hu from Xilai Gao delivered a detailed presentation on Xilai Gao’s product R&D and upgrade plans for the second half of the year, themed “Product Power in the Age of User Sovereignty.” He deeply emphasized the philosophy of “orienting product R&D and upgrades around the needs of aquaculture users, placing user needs first!” This further reinforced Xilai Gao’s corporate mission: to focus on nutrition and dedicate itself to creating value by improving animal health.

Yes, the ability to innovate through research and development is a company’s very lifeblood. The times will first abandon those who are unwilling to move forward.
Mr. Huang Guogang, Chairman of Xilai Gao, stepped onto the stage amid thunderous applause from the audience. He will share with you the latest analysis of the aquaculture industry as well as an in-depth interpretation of the company’s management strategies. Throughout his speech, Mr. Huang repeatedly emphasized the “Era of User Sovereignty,” which is driving transformative changes across the entire industry. All aspects—ranging from corporate management and operational practices to product R&D upgrades and marketing strategies—must be centered around our aquaculture customers. As we chart Xilai Gao’s path of development, we are putting our core values—“Achieving Customer Success, Promoting Positive Growth, Upholding Integrity and Trust, and Pursuing Win-Win Cooperation”—into concrete action.
Mr. Huang has never stopped on his own learning journey, and he also insists that his employees should never cease their own learning. In his daily work, he is passionate about sharing the latest knowledge he’s acquired with his employees, guiding everyone to grow and progress together. As a result of these regular knowledge-sharing sessions, both individual employee competitiveness and the competitiveness of the company as a whole have become increasingly robust.

Mr. Zhou Le, Manager of the Information Department at Xilai Gao, delivered a presentation on the theme of “Data-Driven Business Growth,” outlining Xilai Gao’s journey of digital transformation. The goal is to build a digital marketing platform that better aligns with today’s market trends and the needs of the vast majority of livestock farmers. Mr. Zhou’s speech focused particularly on “considering product R&D, production, formula upgrades, sales, and service from the perspective of livestock farmers,” offering attendees a fresh and unique perspective on marketing strategies.

Our discussion on industry analysis, business management, interpretation of industry policies, and digital transformation has now come to an end. Next, we’ll hear from our regional managers, who will share insights into product demonstrations and marketing strategies.
Manager Wang Peng shared information about Hui Lai Gao’s new product, “Detox Expert – Subei Qing.”
Subei Qing is the latest high-tech product developed by Xilai Gao, designed to address toxins accumulated in livestock during their growth—such as oxidative free radicals generated from nutrient metabolism, mycotoxins, toxins produced during the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, and waste products generated during the development of parasitic organisms. Although it has been on the market for only a short time, it has already garnered widespread acclaim and high praise from numerous livestock farmers.

Manager Ma Shiye shared with everyone a presentation on “Channel Development and Management Insights as well as Handling of Unauthorized Product Diversion.” He thoroughly shared with the team his insights into regional operations management and promotion strategies. At the same time, he also highlighted the company’s stringent crackdown on unauthorized product diversion—specifically, cross-regional price dumping—and provided a detailed case study to illustrate this approach.

Dr. Yang Jianxiong, Technical Director of Xilai Gao, shared with everyone the product lineup of the Wangwang Plan, the Ankang Plan, and the Qingjing Combination, helping attendees gain a deeper understanding of the company’s products and better serve our farming customers.

Mr. Liu Baochang, General Manager of Xilai Gao Rouchu Partners, shared information about the Zhu Le Bao product with everyone.
Zhulebao is a health-enhancing milk replacer specially formulated and developed by Haili Gao Company. It uses Dutch-imported milk sources and incorporates large amounts of active Lactobacillus and Bacillus subtilis. Based on the nutritional needs of suckling piglets and optimized for fat, protein, and lactose levels, this product addresses the characteristics of immature gut microbiota in nursing piglets—common issues such as insufficient or inadequate milk production during rearing, as well as difficulties and challenges in weaning. Since its launch, Zhulebao has been widely favored by users, effectively promoting piglet digestion and absorption and helping to increase average weaning weights.

The sharing of product updates has now come to an end. Next, each district manager provided a summary of their region’s business performance for the first half of the year and also conducted an analysis and planning for the second half. By reflecting on both successes and shortcomings in our work and reviewing our marketing strategies, we gained a deeper understanding of the key priorities in our work plans through self-analysis.
Accompanied by enthusiastic applause from the crowd, the meeting entered its final stage—the business recognition and awards ceremony!
Some employees’ diligent efforts in the first half of the year have been recognized by the company. At this conference, Xilai Gao has prepared generous rewards for them—along with trophies and certificates that symbolize their honor. Of course, there are also a few colleagues whose business development was temporarily hampered by the pandemic in the first half of the year. We’re confident that in the second half, they’ll fully demonstrate their capabilities and strive to take the stage at Xilai Gao’s 2020 awards ceremony! This will surely bear out this year’s business recognition theme: “The outcome is still uncertain—every one could be a dark horse; healthy farming—today is the time to prove it!”

The two-day conference has come to an end. During the conference, everyone not only gained valuable knowledge but also, thanks to their hard work in the first half of the year, some participants were rewarded with generous prizes and company honors. In the evening, everyone joined together for a celebratory banquet hosted by Xilai Gao. At the banquet, glasses clinked as attendees toasted each other, collectively celebrating Xilai Gao’s 40% year-on-year growth in performance during the first half of the year.
On July 17, the entire Xilai Gao team visited the former residences of Chairman Mao and Liu Shaoqi, laid flower baskets in tribute to Chairman Mao, and together commemorated these great revolutionary figures.

Time spent together always seems to fly by. Xilai Gao’s three-day mid-year conference came to a successful close amid the joyful laughter and cheerful conversations of everyone. Once again, managers from various regions are setting out on their journeys, returning to their respective posts to work hard toward achieving outstanding results in the second half of the year. Xilai Gao—leading the livestock industry and serving healthy farming practices!
Thank you for watching, and I wish you good health and all the best in everything.
